As a specialist for complex M&A transactions and corporate law, Moritz primarily advises on share and asset deals of all sizes, venture capital transactions, employee participation programs (EIP/ESOP/VESOP), as well as other corporate law matters, including in the context of stock corporation law.
Prior to joining PXR, Moritz spent more than five years at a major international law firm (most recently as Counsel), where he advised numerous large corporations, medium-sized companies, and startups on complex corporate restructurings as well as all phases of M&A transactions. His expertise ranges from setting up and administering virtual data rooms, leading international due diligence processes, to negotiating transaction documents (SPAs, APAs, etc.) and ancillary documentation.
Moritz was born in Düsseldorf, studied law in Potsdam, and completed his legal traineeship at the Berlin Court of Appeal (Kammergericht Berlin). In parallel with his traineeship, he earned a doctorate at Bucerius Law School (Hamburg) on a constitutional and banking supervisory law topic.
Moritz speaks German and English.
