PXR advises PaulCamper on AU$47 million acquisition by Camplify

PXR has advised PaulCamper, Germany's largest portal for the rental of motorhomes, on its acquisition by Australian competitor Camplify. The company is paying a total of AU$47.6 million (equivalent to €30.88 million) for the transaction.

PXR has advised PaulCamper, Germany's largest portal for the rental of motorhomes, on its acquisition by Australian competitor Camplify. The company is paying a total of AU$47.6 million (equivalent to €30.88 million) for the transaction.

Camplify is a provider of a leading peer-to-peer (P2P) platform in Australia that connects mobile home owners with renters. The company has subsidiaries in the UK, New Zealand and Spain. With the acquisition of PaulCamper, Camplify says it aims to accelerate its expansion in Europe and further develop into a leading global player in motorhome rentals. Dirk Fehse, founder and CEO of PaulCamper, will lead Camplify's European operations in the future.

PXR advised PaulCamper on the acquisition from the German side, with Herbert Smith Freehills also involved for Australian law. The PXR team for the transaction consisted of Daniel Grisar, Dr Max Weber, Isabella Schuh, Dr Peter Möllmann (all Corporate / M&A) and Mirco Zantopp (Tax). From Herbert Smith Freehills, Nick Baker and Jennifer Wong were involved.
